I don't really know you at all, but you are one of those people that, as soon as you pop up on the screen or drift by on Instagram or wherever, there's just this flash of divine, high energy that is palpable.
|
I had the immediate sense that you're trustworthy, that you are genuine. And I know that word genuine has been used so much, but I want to go deeper. I think you understand what I mean. You embody something deeper than that word might suggest. I feel like it's really about being a soul person, being authentic, and being God-connected.
Shaun Grant: Absolutely, yeah. It’s great.
Natalia: I'm sure people will just naturally feel your vibes. So, I just wanted to share those immediate impressions I had of you. Not everyone is embodied in that sense of God connection, positivity, and high vibration. Of course, we can’t always be all things, but when I see someone who radiates that energy, I like to let them know.
It's something that is recognized on a soul level, coming from a higher place. Energetically, you just immediately felt vibrant and clear. It's what I call a clear person. There's no perfection here—we're all going through our stuff—but I recognize that signature of clarity and trust in you. I just feel like you vibrate so much truth and authenticity. You're an awakener and a manifester, in the true divine meaning of the word. You just carry these divine codes—whatever you want to call them—that are just popping out. And I'm sure you've got so many more. I’ve got goosebumps right now!
Shaun: Keep going, keep going. I love it. (lol)

A Time of Expansion: Collective and Personal Awakening
Natalia: I'm sure you've got more divine codes just ready to pop. And I feel like that’s where we’re at as a planet. As I say that, I feel it for myself too, and for many—if not all of us—in our own way. We’re on this borderline of popping. Let me just share the image I’m receiving now. Sometimes, the angels bring through images, and the one I see right now is water in a glass, bulbously hanging over the edge.
Usually, when I receive that vision, it’s about someone’s emotions—like they’re just about to spill over, but are still holding it in. But right now, they’re showing it in a different way. This time, it's about source energy, ready to explode like a beautiful volcano of light. It’s about integrating all that we’ve been learning, all that we’ve been going through. Because so many of us have gone through deep trauma, intense healing, and layers upon layers of transformation in this lifetime—and many others.
And I just feel like your presence here, Shaun, is somehow connected to all of this. Perhaps it’s part of what you carry—an energy that infiltrates others and helps them shift.

The Ripple Effect: Unfolding the Divine Path

I actually spoke to someone recently, and the message I got was that the work they were doing was like a carpet rolling out endlessly. That’s how the angels showed it. You don’t know how far that roll of carpet goes, but it just keeps unfolding and unfolding.
Shaun: I love that. I love that. That's profound. It's easy to understand, but it's profound, that whole vision. Because that’s truly how life is, it's one step at a time, but you can't get to the next step, until you take that step, and master, whatever you need to do before you move on to the next. That’s a beautiful vision.
Natalia: Yeah, it's so true, and with that roll of carpet, I’m just seeing now: if it's rolled up, it's got all the density inside it, the darkness, all our shadows...
Shaun: Yeah, third-dimensional stuff (lol)
Natalia: Yeah, some of us don’t want to open it up. That’s the fear, and I know this is one of the things you speak on, something I saw that you wrote on Instagram or somewhere, and I’ll get to that...
So it is like the roll of carpet insulates you, but when you dare to unfurl yourself, then the light comes onto it and the outside of the carpet roll is where all the light hits, and then as you roll it out, it expands and opens up more. You probably embody that day in and day out.
Shaun: Well we all do our best, to a high degree. So that's what counts giving the effort.
Natalia: Yes, completely.

Introducing Shaun Grant: A Guide to Higher Conscious Awareness
Now, let me give your official bio introduction. You are Reverend Shaun Robert Grant, a spiritual teacher of higher conscious awareness. You know, when I first read that title, I felt the energy of those words. Consciousness—it’s something hard to define, isn’t it?
Shaun: It is.
Natalia: It’s something you kind of enter.
Shaun: Yes, exactly.
Natalia: And maybe we can move into that next. But first, I just want to acknowledge something else: You specialize in helping others awaken to authenticity in every area of their lives. Even just reading that feels powerful. It's like it's not just one, one unfolds the rest, it's all connected! You live, understand, and teach that true fulfillment comes from discovering the divine power within. And that’s something I feel just very strongly today, with you!
Shaun: Yes.
Natalia: And it starts with an empowering mindset—with the willingness to be vulnerable. Because that’s the thing— that's when you’re in your carpet roll, are you willing to be vulnerable? Do you dare to come out of it? ... enough to express your emotions and heal past trauma? That’s where the transition happens—the shift from living a normal life to living an extraordinary life. And that can be so many things, and it can be so simple.
Shaun: Yes, absolutely.
Shaun: It is.

Shaun: Yes, absolutely.
The Simplicity and Divinity of LifeNatalia: It's in the simplicity and the divinity of life, beyond appearances, I guess. Shaun: Yeah, totally agree, totally agree.
Natalia: And you have authored nine books on spirituality and self-awareness, which is amazing and wonderful and beautiful. And you've created five spiritually inspired podcasts, which I didn't initially know. So please do talk about all of that at some stage or at the end. And you've been published in different spiritual publications. So you're out there doing your thing, walking your walk, your talk. Shaun: Yeah, one day at a time. Natalia: That's it, one day at a time. That's all it can be. |
The Power of Words and Intention
And so I'd like to start with—there was something that I came across on Instagram or TikTok of yours, and the words really called to me. Then I realized, okay, you're really into speaking out energy through words and intention, and there's a power in it for those who embody that essence, who get it.
Because I could read them and feel them on an energetic level. And I think that sometimes when people think about affirmations and things like that, they just think, for example: "I'm rich, I'm rich", and then (they think): "I know I'm not rich, I can't pay the next bill, and this is a pack of you-know-what". That’s one way to look at it.
But it’s about your energy and your mindset and your belief and your connection. That’s what taps you in, creates that energy, and aligns everything. So, I just wanted to read an example of what you wrote:
"I am super psychic, intuitive within my subconscious mind. I massively, lovingly, and successfully use my gifts to easily, effectively, and effortlessly uplift, empower, and inspire people everywhere... (Because we're not limited—we’re rolling the carpet out)... under Grace, in a perfect way."
And just the energy of it speaks for itself. So, let’s just start there.

A Profound Spiritual Awakening
Shaun: Yeah. It’s interesting because we were scheduled to do the 11th, I believe, of this month, and we got postponed a bit. And whenever something like that happens, anytime the divine moves things around, I'm always curious—okay, why was that moved around?
I was going through probably one of the deepest spiritual awakenings of my entire life at that point in time. And there were two nights during that period where I was literally experiencing a death. The energy in my body was so on a deep, dense, low vibrational level that I just felt completely sick, completely nauseated. It was so painful. I was just like—you know, if you're familiar with the Bible—like Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking: "Please take this away. I know I gotta go through it, but if you can take it away, please take it away." - And it happened twice.

Suppressing the Psychic Gift

And the reason why I think that is so significant, also in relation to why we were postponed, is that it helped me to understand that for basically all of my life—39 years--I denied my true psychic, empathic, intuitive ability. I had it very strongly as a child. And it’s funny when the divine helps you to look back on things when you are resonating at a higher consciousness, when you're able to understand it a little bit better. So I was looking back on it, and I used to think that I was "just sensitive, just sensitive".
And the divine was like "No, you were 'sensitive' because you could experience all the energy around you, which is why you cried so much."
But that wasn’t okay with the adults surrounding me, so they silenced it for the most part. And not only did they silence it—once I began my journey at private school, in Catholicism, they completely said it was the "devil’s work". So I'm like, "Okay, I’m five, I’m not about to be an outcast under any circumstance whatsoever". So I suppressed it. But it just continued to come back, bit by bit, until recently, it raged. And it's fitting, because I teach about authenticity, yet one of the most dynamic, integral, significant parts of myself, I was denying—because I had done it as a child, and that was my trauma.

The Reemergence of Psychic Abilities & Picking Up on Energy
So after going through those, I guess, ' dark nights of the soul' , so to speak, it reemerged. And it reemerged in a way that was just like— "This is a new me!"
Even if that’s possible. I thought I was so endowed with my sincere, genuine, authentic self. But then this comes along, and it just busts open so much. And I'm seeing energy differently, feeling energy differently, picking up on things intuitively, getting psychic impressions. The other day, I was in the store, and—it’s kind of sad, because it happened to me before—I was on the phone with a friend, or more of an acquaintance at the time, and I could feel this just sickening energy in the area of the solar plexus and in the lower chakras.
And I was fasting that day, so it was just really weird. I’m like: "What in the world is going on with my stomach?" And I couldn't figure it out. And then I found out later on—he was actually diagnosed with cancer. So, I was like, "Okay, that was his energy letting me know that he was actually in a state where his body was getting ready to attack itself."
And then the other day, I experienced the exact same thing with a lady who was at the register. I'm like, "I'm fasting," because I fast pretty much all day long. There's no reason my stomach should be turning in circles and knots and things. And then I picked it up, and it was the same impression. And immediately, the divine drew me back to that time when I was on the phone with the guy who had the same situation.
So all of those things have started to really come in and expand in a really dynamic way.

Suppression Leading to Explosion
Natalia: I really relate to what you're saying on so many levels. I mean, the psychic things—so many people have those moments where it's extra, or it just comes forth, it awakens, reawakens. And you mentioned it being squashed before—there are so many directions I can go with this—but it was funny because I wrote down: "Suppression, leading to explosion." Because it's gone from one extreme of being squashed to totally opening up like a volcano.
Shaun: Absolutely. Natalia: That’s what it’s about. And it's learning to be able to discern, and you'll learn from it each time. So then, in the future, when you get that feeling again, you'll know what it might mean. Religion as a Stepping Stone to Spiritual Awakening
Exactly. And you know, the whole thing with—I also have a Catholic background. But it was never enforced upon me hugely or anything like that. But I love that you brought that up. For me, it’s just having the Croatian background, and I was just baptized in that, and that’s how it goes. But I like to just consider myself as "openly spiritual", and that’s it.
Grant: Yeah, absolutely. I think that’s really the way to be, and I think: |
|
"Our initial religious upbringings are just stepping stones to true spirituality--and ultimately,
true connection to God, not just connection, but full embodiment as well."
I couldn’t have gotten there without religion. So, it was kind of like a coin, in a lot of ways, because:
"For all the bad it was, or all the limiting stuff they had, there were also deeply expansive things that came through it. Because I was able to go through that entire experience."
That being said, each to their own. Religion can be a wonderful thing—it’s just about what resonates for each person. And it’s funny you brought that up because just recently, I’ve really been thinking about how it’s time to start talking about all of that.
Shaun: (lol) "Ding, Ding, Ding!"
Natalia: (lol) Yeah, There are so many layers to it. And actually, something even came through before you popped on screen today about that as well.

Jesus as an Intuitive Mystic
And i really do believe, that, when you mentioned childhood and being 'sensitive', and all being squashed down... I truly believe Jesus was an 'intuitive empath'.
Shaun: Absolutely. There’s a book—I think the title is: "Jesus Was a Mystic"—and that resonated, vibrationally, so deeply with me.
"When you learn to read the Bible, not like a traditional Christian or Catholic, or whatever it is, you learn to receive the truth of whatever it is being conveyed in those pages. It speaks to you, completely, that Jesus was a Mystic!"
Because the experiences and encounters are such on a higher level of consciousness, that it's almost like: "What is this man talking about?" is the reaction, of the people around him. And also they denied Him so much, because it was like anything they had ever seen, it was blowing their minds. And I just really, really feel the resonance of that statement that Jesus was being a mystic completely, aside from everything we've been taught, it's like:
"Those truths, once you reach a higher frequency, they start to be REVEALED to you, into your consciousness, and it's amazing to see everything that comes forth when you are READY to RECEIVE it!"

Breaking Out of the Box: Expanding Beyond Limitations

Natalia: It's so true, and just the word ' OPEN', it's like 'opening yourself up' ... and the image I did receive before you popped on, which, I did sit for a little while, I cleared my energy and chakras, and sometimes when I do that, I start getting messages, and I'm like: "Not now, I'm about to interview someone", lol, but of course it connects...
And each to their own, when it comes to religion and spirituality, but I'll just share what came to me. Which is that I saw religion as being like a box, and we have all these boxes in life, millions of them. All the mind control, the 'Matrix', just everything, boxes within boxes! We form our own boxes limiting beliefs and all the rest of it. So I just saw it in the way, although it can be a beautiful thing to some.
But the idea is that when we open all our boxes, it's almost like you're letting go of all the negative stuff, the control, just everything - and then all that is, is just 'open space'... And so when you mentioned before 'openness', it brought that back, and that is where I feel is the most safe, free, liberating, expansive feeling of just being open to 'the All'.
Grant: Yes, yes, absolutely! Natalia: And it's PURE!

Releasing Control and Embracing Flow
Shaun: The biggest limitation we find is when we are hung up into third-dimensional concepts. I've always found intuitively for myself, but I think it's true for everybody, and that is when we obsess over anything that is tangible in the material world—it will always form some kind of control, which is anxiety, which comes from a place of fear.
But when we are able to step into that 'openness', like your said, that is basically just really honing in on our 'divine essence'. It's amazing just how much you can move with ease, with love, with compassion. And then you step into your gifts, and the universe starts to deliver in the most confounding, unexpected ways possible- that’s why I call it pure, Divine magic. Because that's what it is, you finally tap into what you've been looking for this entire life, this whole time you've been here, and it's hard to articulate, but it's absolutely amazing when you get to it.
Natalia: Wow - and the TRUTH was there along, we just had to DARE to open some of those boxes to get there!
Shaun: Absolutely!

Honing Your Divine Essence & How to Cultivate Consciousness
Natalia: You mentioned honing in on your Divine essence, and the feeling is of going IN, to then OPEN UP to OUT, and it's all interlinked, isn't it. Sometimes people think that intuition, or whatever, you need to go 'somewhere else', and it can be like that, but you are also going WITHIN, and you kind of EXPAND, from going within, in this sort of reciprocating, balanced way.
And so for people who think: "What does this mean? How do I do this?," or: "I try, but then I get distracted!" - can you just speak on that, as well as your interpretation of 'consciousness' and 'awareness', all of that?

Understanding Consciousness: A Simple Yet Deep Perspective

Defining Consciousness:
Shaun: I'll start first with consciousness, and I'll give the most understandable definition of what I feel consciousness is:
"Consciousness is your ability to think, feel, and operate on a certain level of vibration or, in this case, a certain frequency. Your perception is your consciousness. It’s your awareness, your ability to be aware of certain things within yourself, that then reflects to the outside. So, if I have an internal shift, my consciousness is raised, and then I can be more aware of the world around me—which is actually the world inside of me—just giving me what I've stepped into."
I said that was going to be easy, but that was kind of complicated! (lol)

Consciousness in a Nutshell
In simple terms, consciousness is how you think, how you feel, and how you act. If I had to teach it, that’s how I would explain it. Every time you have a spiritual awakening or shift in a transformational way, your thoughts, feelings, and actions change. Your entire resonance shifts, until you reach that level where you’re tapped into the idea of oneness—of being completely one with God.
And then, it's just an unfoldment, it's not necessarily a 'thinking thing,' a 'feeling thing'... You're still acting, but thinking and feeling kind of go out the window because God—the Divine—is not limited by time and space.
And then, it's just an unfoldment, it's not necessarily a 'thinking thing,' a 'feeling thing'... You're still acting, but thinking and feeling kind of go out the window because God—the Divine—is not limited by time and space.
Time, Space, and Divine Timing

Time and space can sometimes feel so constricting that we trick ourselves into believing things must take a certain amount of time, or certain things need to happen, but once we tap into that essence of oneness—that God consciousness it's sometimes called, it enables us to see that things can happen 'like that'!
From the outside looking in, it could seem like something that could take 30 years. A perfect example is buying a house. For most people, buying a house is a process of going to work - work, work work, save, save, save...' and then you make enough money, get a mortgage and pay it off over 30 years. But when we tap into oneness, the whole thing can change, it can be condensed because, once again, God does not work through time and space.
Divine timing is just another term for us being able to be at a vibration, where we are compatible and receptive to what it is we are desiring. That's not an essence of time; it's an essence of how fast we can awaken.

Divine timing is just another term for us being able to be at a vibration, where we are compatible and receptive to what it is we are desiring. That's not an essence of time; it's an essence of how fast we can awaken.
Overcoming Distraction: The Power of Meditation

The Biggest Distraction: Our Own Minds:
You talked about distraction, and I think the biggest distraction is often our own minds, because they consistently go and go and go... . I've heard it called 'monkey mind' and you just overthink yourself, and to the point you just get tired and can;t deal, and then you just go into of distractions.
The Best Solution for Distraction:
For me, the biggest solution for distraction, has easily, without a doubt, been meditation.
The more time I spend meditating, the more time i spend embodying my divine truth, my divine essence—God in its entirety, for everything that it is, that’s when I find I am easily able to focus at the task at hand, I’m not easily distracted by my phone, the computer, the TV, or what's going on with my neighbors.

Finding Peace and Receiving Divine Guidance
It really helps me bring ALL of the attention back to ME. Most people think you've got to focus on the mind, but I focus on the heart centre —and really take the time to connect with that. I don’t force it; I just allow it to overtake me abit. Everything just kinda subsides, and it's just that MOMENT that is completely CALM, FULL of tranquility, and there is where all the Divine downloads just start filing in. Because you finally cleared your vessel, so to speak, to let yourself be at peace and once again, be OPEN, because God broadcasts 24/7.
And your intuition is always giving you messages, you've just got to resonate at that frequency to get it.And that frequency is usually just tranquility, calm, serenity, and ultimately, inner peace. So, distraction can be alleviated through meditation and just focusing internally on yourself —on your true divine essence.

The Power of Oneness and Quantum Awareness

Natalia: Yeah, that's a beautiful way to describe it, and I think people will connect through that sense of tranquility just through listening to you. Your voice carries that. Your voice carries vibrations of that.
Shaun: Thank you.
Natalia: And you really, when you speak about the oneness and all of that, and the timelessness... it's QUANTUM!
Because we're moving and shifting into this understanding of quantum, which is something far beyond. Like, I'm getting the image now, the angels showing me a 'diamond' that has all these endless facets.
And, we just thought we were this little pebble. We lived these little lives, a pebble in a box, and we had a million boxes within the box, not knowing—or actually, as a child, we had glimpses of knowing. We came with the knowing, and then it was squashed and squashed and squashed. Like with you, and with us, believing we're just not only this little pebble, but even just this dirty, little, useless, hopeless, whatever, horrible stone, you know? For when we’re feeling rotten.
And actually, the irony of it all is, we're just the complete opposite of that. We have so many facets. And I think:
The quantum understanding is opening us up to not only that there is so much more, but that we are so much more.
And we can quickly—and, I love the way you say these words: with 'ease', 'effortlessly'... tap into that when we just relax into things and allow it to be.
Shaun: Thank you.

The Heart as a Transmuter of Energy
And then, when you spoke about your heart and not forcing it—because for many people who are just bogged down, and it’s by no one’s fault— it’s hard. This world, especially in recent times…
Shaun: Yeah, for sure.
Natalia: People are working themselves to the ground, and there’s no time or space to breathe.
And breath is the connection. And so many are holding that in as well. And when they try to sit down, it’s almost like they are forcing themselves. And it’s hard to unravel.
But when you spoke about the heart, it really made me feel like you’re tapping into something there, which is also another kind of hidden truth in a way. The heart is also like a chamber, a transmuter. It has the power to transmute things.
Shaun: Absolutely. Yeah, totally.
Natalia: It has a power of its own. And it’s like, the angels show me it’s like a blender— almost in a transmutation sense— you can just throw things down there, and it will gobble it up.
Shaun: Yeah, for sure.
Natalia: People are working themselves to the ground, and there’s no time or space to breathe.
And breath is the connection. And so many are holding that in as well. And when they try to sit down, it’s almost like they are forcing themselves. And it’s hard to unravel.

The Power of Forgiveness in Transformation

Grant: Yeah, as soon as you said that, forgiveness came to mind. And how powerful forgiveness is in every situation where we may feel stagnant. Because it’s the heart that has the capacity to forgive, because it ultimately has the infinite capacity to love. And forgiveness is a part of love. So, it's transmuting any type of energy that would ever hold us back or keep us separated from being completely whole in a divine sense.
Natalia: Yeah, that’s just so resonating. And forgiveness is such a theme that I’m sure many will connect with— as do I.
It opens something up. A profound shift can happen when you dare to cross that bridge.
And when you're in the box, or in what some people refer to as the lower 3D, or when you're just feeling horrible about everything and negative and all that stuff— as we all do and have— it's hard to do that.
And that’s where that notion comes in that it’s not necessarily always the person you’re forgiving, although it can be, too.
Sometimes, for very severe situations, it’s forgiving even yourself or the situation from happening to you. Seeing yourself as a sort of victim of it. And when you’re a victim of it— which is fair, also, because it feels like that, and it can be— but.
It’s about realigning yourself from victimhood into moving towards, because when you cross that bridge to the light, and the light is the truth, the light is information and healing. And when that happens, the big light bulb goes off, and everything disintegrates of the lower. And you’re not in that old paradigm anymore, or story!
Shaun: So true. Well said.
Natalia: And we all have so many stories. And, so, is there a story you would like to share where you have moved from fear to breakthrough?
Natalia: Yeah, that’s just so resonating. And forgiveness is such a theme that I’m sure many will connect with— as do I.

A Journey from Fear Despair to Breakthrough & Transformation
Facing the Depths of Despair & Overcoming the Darkness:
Shaun: Yes, okay, so I'm going to open up completely, and I'm going to tell you my story in regards to suicide because I think that is as low as it gets. You know, it's important to be able to feel free enough to talk about that and to talk about it in a confident way—from what you've gone through to what you've overcome.
This dates back a number of years. I don’t know exactly, so I won’t put a number on it, but it was a long time ago. I remember growing up, I always wanted to be this football star—this really big football superstar. I had really magnificent dreams about that, about helping my family, being on TV, and all these amazing things. I went relentlessly after it. But because of injuries, things didn't necessarily work out the way I wanted them to. I found that I began to press and press and press, and that started to affect how I performed in school, how I handled relationships, and how I managed friendships. I was spiraling out of control to the point where I got kicked out of school.

Hitting Rock Bottom

It was my junior—almost senior—year of college when I got kicked out and sent home. I just went into this rampage of drinking and self-destruction, and I couldn’t get myself out of it. I felt like I had worked so hard and for so long at this dream, yet it didn’t work out for me. That was one of the first lessons I ever had about still being able to accept the treasures in something, even when it doesn’t work out, even after putting so much time, effort, and energy into it.
During that time, I was on a bender. I drank so heavily, and I was feeling so depressed. I remember one night, I went out by myself to a bar. I was just throwing shots back, left and right, and drinking beer after beer. I would say that night, I had 13 or 14 different alcoholic drinks—I was just inebriated.
It was about 1:15 in the morning. Actually, no, it was earlier, because I remember I drove my car to the lake, where I lived in New Orleans, and at about 1:15 in the morning, I got out of my car and thought about my last move. I was going to run my car into the lake - Lake Pontchartrain and just be done with it.
I got back in the car and started thinking about all the moments and all the things I didn’t accomplish in my young life—what I wouldn’t be able to accomplish, how I would be remembered, and all these things. It all became so overwhelming and sad. That’s when I said to myself, “I’m done.” I turned on the car, and just as I was about to put it in drive, my cell phone rings.

Divine Intervention
At first, I ignored it. I thought, I’m not answering that. I silenced it. Then it rang again. As soon as I silenced it, literally about 30 seconds later, it rang again. My car was still in park. It turned out to be one of my friends. She had seen me out earlier that night, and she just said:
“I know you’re in a bad state, but don’t do this. You have too many people who love you. You have too many people who care. You’ve got so much life to live. Don’t be selfish. You have to learn how to battle back.” Her words rang so true, to the point that I had tears, as I was releasing all the emotion. I turned off the car, thought about it for a bit, and then I went home. |
The Turning Point
Now, I always say it would be great if everything was peachy at that time after the fact, but it wasn't. Right after she told me to “battle back,” I thought to myself, "Okay, I’m a complete mess. My life is in a complete mess. But I can get through this. I can figure out a way."
I had always been resilient. I had always had resourcefulness and resolve to get what I wanted, even at that point in time.
So that moment there, changed everything, from me living in a vibration of fear and hopelessness, to having faith. Even when it seemed enormously difficult and enormously challenging, that faith was still present, for me to keep going...
To get over maybe not having this dream come true, or to get over losing a relationship, or having something happen where a family member offended me.

It just gave me faith. It didn't bother me in the same way, and I feel like that never left. That was such a turning point. And I think about that situation with the cell phone ringing. That has happened so many times in my life, where my Divine team is steps in, and says: "Ah, ah, ah. Nope!" They shift, the events of something, like some kind of Divine intervention comes in, and just explodes onto the scene, and in my heart I just know, I don't even have to ask, like, that was just specifically for me to have the strength, to be renewed, to continue on like that.
And that, 20-something years ago, changed my life, transformed it. It made me into the most compassionate, kind person I ever thought I could be.

Finding Faith and Purpose
The Emotional Depth of the Lake and Its Symbolism

Natalia: Mmm, Just receiving so much from that, and thank you so much for sharing it.
Shaun: You're welcome.
Natalia: I know there are going to be people who listen that will resonate on whatever level. And, I got so much from it. It feels emotional as well. As soon as you mentioned "lake," I felt it about to come.
Shaun: Yeah.
Natalia: You know, in a way, the lake represents all of your emotions and sensitivities—everything suppressed. Even just that feeling of feeling like a big loser because you had this dream, and yet… you know, because you're this beautiful, soul self. As a child, you would have been this absolute sprinkler of joy and source energy, and then it slowly all got squashed.
Then you were like, "Yes, I want to go for my football dream," because you had this deep sense of soul purpose, and you loved it. You were so energized on the field and all the rest of it—that only you will know that, because that was your passion.
And, then, why? Why does the so-called 'universe' hammer you down and put you in a box? It doesn’t make any sense. This was my dream! And then you mentioned the word "acceptance," and it's like: Acceptance is the new forgiveness.
Shaun: Yeah.
Natalia: Acceptance opens that door and sets you free. Even though there might always be that little wound or that little thought of: "Could have been this, or could have done that." You opened yourself up to so much more in a way. Or:
It just sent you on the path to where you are now, in a way where we’ve all got to face our stuff.
Shaun: You're welcome.
Natalia: I know there are going to be people who listen that will resonate on whatever level. And, I got so much from it. It feels emotional as well. As soon as you mentioned "lake," I felt it about to come.

The Transformation in the Place of Near Death

Grant: Yeah, absolutely. To add on to what you said, what's interesting—and really, really profound—is that:
The site of my would-be death became the environment for some of the greatest spiritual growth of my life.
I went back on a regular basis to that spot, and it opened so much up for me—spiritually, emotionally. It helped me transform and eventually have the courage to move to a place where I knew I had to further my evolution. I would have never gotten to that point without that environment.
So, I always… it's kind of bewildering in a sense, because it's like—that’s where I would have died. That would have been the end of my story in this lifetime. Yet, it was almost a resurrection, where things turned around in that same energetic environment.
It’s sometimes a head-scratcher because it’s so surreal to think that so much good can happen in a place that could have been really, really catastrophic.

The Power of Returning to the Lake
Natalia: Oh gosh, there’s so much energy when you speak about that whole experience—the lake, going back to it. It’s almost like you were always meant to go to that lake.
Shaun: Yeah.
Natalia: And it speaks volumes.
It spoke to you. It’s a place where—from wanting to "unalive"—you alivened more than ever!
Grant: Exactly.
Shaun: Yeah.
Natalia: And it speaks volumes.
It spoke to you. It’s a place where—from wanting to "unalive"—you alivened more than ever!
Grant: Exactly.
The Paradox of Suffering and Growth
Natalia: It's the contradiction, that’s come up a few times now, that's actually the perfect circle or unison. It's the up and the down, isn't it?
Shaun: Yeah, it so it, and it calls to mind the idea that God is truly above right and wrong. What we see on a human level as right or wrong, God just sees as "is." I could have looked at that place and said, "Oh God, no, this is a terrible memory." But something—even before I was consciously aware of it—said, "No, I should be here!" Because that same energy was able to transform. I was open to it transforming into something beautiful from something seemingly an issue or problem.
I just think that’s phenomenal—when we get into that non-dualistic way of operating. It really diminishes limitations because it's not all black and white. It’s not just success or failure, rich or poor. It’s whatever is in your highest alignment.
And whatever is there now is for you.
You just have to be, once again, open and receptive to the divine messages and the treasure that comes through—even treasure from the pain.

Embracing Worthiness Through the Darkest Moments
Natalia: The treasure from the pain! And when you said the words, "I should be here," - it’s worthiness, isn’t it? It’s entering worthiness.
Shaun: Mmhm, yeah.
Natalia: And we were all worthy all along. We’ve just got to go down the route of our journeys, to discover it.
Just speaking on the whole notion of suicide--having those thoughts, going to those lowest pits of despair… People describe those moments as the "dark night of the soul," but it’s not always just one night, guys. If it’s one night, you’re lucky. (lol)
So many people will resonate with that because most of us—we’ve all gone through our own versions of that. The negative thoughts, the self-deprecation, the "I’m not good enough," the thoughts of not wanting to be on this planet anymore…
I think that needs to be spoken about in a way that is free and open, and acknowledging that.
Shaun: Mmhm, yeah.

The Spiritual Perspective on Depression and the Monkey Mind
Natalia: And I think that really is also connected to (obviously it's a more extreme level, but it's quite common), especially when you feel yourself as a soul person, and you are like: "What? Why am I here? This place is not mirroring divine perfection in any way!" Sometimes, it’s just horrible.
Shaun: So true. Natalia: And earlier, you mentioned the "monkey mind"— it's kind of connected, because there is so much in our minds, and our 'lower mind' kind of imprisons us. Shaun: Yes. Natalia: And it’s about finding a way to break free from that. |
Finding Peace Within and Overcoming Suppression
Shaun: Absolutely. If you can do that, you can find so much peace in yourself, and then that peace reflects in your surroundings. It’s better than anything you could ever get from the outside realm. Intuitively, something just came up for me about suicide, and I recently understood this in a deeper way. I think this could potentially help anyone struggling with this:
Suicide is a direct result of having killed, suppressed, repressed, destroyed an aspect of ourselves that is either ONE of the most important parts of us in our journey, or THE most important part that we have sort of DENIED, because, lack of approval, lack of validation, parents, authority figures aren't happy with us, so we supress it, suppress it and energetically and vibrationally, we kill ourselves over the course of time, until finally it manifests itself to doing the 'act' in the third dimensional world.
So, if we can figure out what it is about ourselves that we've suppressed, for me, it was my psychic, empathic, intuitive ability. I suppressed it. I didn’t want to be ostracized by my peers, by my religious community, or by my family. I didn’t want to be seen as “the devil” because that’s exactly who they say that associated it with. It’s just asinine to think about now, but that’s what they believed, and they were entitled to believe what they chose.
I just killed myself, by suppressing it over and over again, until that fateful day when I was gonna through with taking my own life. But I think that if people can really take a moment before you do anything drastic, see what part of yourself you've been 'unaliving' on a repetitive basis, and that will help you to free up so much, to where you will get to a space where you will say:
"Yeah, I like being here! I'm here for Divine reason, and I think I'm gonna stay!"
Natalia: Thank you. That’s so important, and it deserves a such a moment. I really appreciate you sharing that.
Shaun: You’re welcome.

Navigating Struggles in a Changing World

Natalia: I’d love to close off with the idea that it is hard for so many people and so many are struggling in so many different ways. Mentally, emotionally, financially, physically, spiritually, energetically - all ways - and there is this 'old paradigm' that’s in the midst of crumbling, and we as the sensitives, the empaths, and old souls, we feel this on such a profound level.
Sometimes it feels like not everyone is seeing or feeling it in the same way or depth. Before we started recording, we spoke about the idea of cognitive dissonance, awakening, people's beliefs and rising beyond that. I’d love for you to share any thoughts on that before we wrap up. Also, please feel free to share about your books and anything else you’d like people to know.

Cognitive Dissonance and Spiritual Awakening

Shaun: Fantastic. Cognitive dissonance—I'm gonna be honest with you— Right now it can feel very lonely at times if you’re on the spiritual path. Because the people who are not on that path are often in the space of cognitive dissonance, where the very truth of what they need for their souls, can't be accepted because they're just not resonating on a vibration that's willing to embrace it. And so, when you're following your path and you're having these awakenings and these spiritual transformations, it can be difficult watching so many people sort of indirectly reject that.
But the truth of the matter is, we have to continue to follow our hearts, and follow what has divinely been imprinted and blueprinted in our complete soul lessons. We have to really take hold of that—not in a forceful way, but in a way that sometimes can withdraw us from the world and center ourselves in Source energy, that always, in every single moment, can give us everything we need—no matter what the outside world looks like. Everything could be falling apart, that's the key to go right back into yourself, and centre yourself in meditation, and be able to sit and say:
"You know what, I'm okay. This is tough, but there's treasure here. There is something for me in this, if I stop rejecting, if I stop refusing, if I stop resisting, I can take a moment and say: Wait a minute—there are blessings in all of this!"
It may not change at all for a long time. You said: 'dark night of the soul'—sometimes it’s a dark night, a dark week, a dark month, dark year. It may last a long time. But the truth is, all you need is within you, because that's where the Divine placed it, for a reason! Because inherently, the infinite intelligence that is God, that is the Divine, that is the universe, knew the issues that we were gonna face. That is why all the magic is within us.

The Power of Transformation and Universal Alignment
Because it is never really a case of where we have to look for solace and comfort on the outside, we just have to look within.
And because within reflects without, when the Divine timing is right, the situation can not only transform, but transform in a way that is extraordinarily positive for you, and everybody you are connected to. Natalia: Yeah, when you said "transform," all my lights just popped. They made that electrical noise. It's true—that's the transformation. We're in such a period of massive, massive transformation at the moment. |
Reverand Shaun Robert Grant's Books

Absolutely, yeah. So you have some podcasts and books and stuff. Say what you'd like to share with everyone.
Shaun: Okay, so—oh gosh, let me see if I can get it all in. I have a few books out right now. Most of these are on Amazon. I'm actually going to give you the ones that I really think are relevant to what we just spoke about, and there are two of them.
One I co-wrote with my wife; it's called "The Universe Loves You". This book was inspired by the idea that Einstein so eloquently stated: You have to decide what type of universe you live in—a friendly universe or an unfriendly universe. That sparked so much truth within me, because that profound statement let me know that: "I've got all the power. I'm the one who has to decide—but I have to decide with my mind, with my vibration, with my entire soul essence, as to what type of life am I going to live!"
This by no means controls the outside world, but it controls the attitude that you have as you approach it. When your attitude shifts, where you understand: I may not be able to control what's outside of me, but I can rest assured take care of how I react to it, how I respond, you get all of your power that's already there, you activate it, to a degree! And so this book is all about that, starting with [the idea of]: "The universe loves me. The universe loves me!"
Because 'the universe loves me' set up my life in a way that ensures I not only get every bit of growth that I need, to become the most evolved, special version of myself that I desire, but I get the unconditional love that it offers to every single thing endowed with that intelligence. And when we move from that knowing and that space, soon super magical things can begin to unfold. Ahh, I love this book—it's available on Amazon, on Kindle, and paperback. You can order it if you like. It’s a really amazing read. We wrote it from a complete place of love and compassion. Our thing is always doing whatever we can, to using our own experiences to help others. That has always been the guiding force at the core of everything we do, and it's really enjoyable.

The next book is called "The Money Cure". I struggled mightily with money as a child because I was exposed to a really impoverished beginnings—not just in terms of not having material things, but being around individuals that were mentally and emotionally deficient as it related to money. Along my path, I developed this psychic connection to the idea of money, and was inspired to put it into a book. I purposely made it a short read so people can easily go back and really learn the wisdom within it. It contains 13 Divine Money Truths, each one is a chapter, where I just divulge the divine downloads coming through, and share the insights that I've gotten from meditating before I actually wrote the book.
There’s a part in this book I want to share, because I think it would help anyone who is experiencing any kind of money situation where it is challenging. I had a dream, where I'm walking through a forest, and I looked up, and on the forest, there's $100 bills, $50 bills, and $20 bills, and it's all beginning to fall. And I'm walking through it, and then, all of a sudden, I started to feel anxiety. I'm not sure why, but instead of feeling expansive, I begin to contract. And all of a sudden the money stops falling. So I look around in the dream, thinking: "What’s happening?"
Then, intuitively, I focus on my breath. I take a couple of deep breaths, while I'm in the dream, and then I return to a state of peace, and as I return to that state of peace, slowly, but surely, the money starts to fall again. And that showed me that the psychic energy that money carries, is resonant with the state of peace. This book is mainly allowing you to focus on yourself, on aligning to your dreams and your gifts, and that creates such a high level of joy, that turns into peace, that is then magnetic to money on the outside, and can increase the flow to you and abundance in a multitude of forms. So that book
is available on Amazon as well, in paperback and Kindle. But I feel that those two are the most relevant to what we’ve talked about here.
Natalia: That’s wonderful! They sound amazing. You know, when you speak, I feel like I go through the energy story of it.
But yeah, it’s true—it's understanding that money is energy. And that’s where the transformation takes place. It’s all about us, and what we’re going through, and how that expresses outside of us, isn’t it?
