Indigo Children, Teens & Adults
In the seventies, Nancy Ann Tappe, due to her extra sensory gift of Synesthesia, started to notice that the colour of as many as 80% of children’s auras (specifically new babies being born) were changing to indigo. This increased to 90% in the nineties!
In 1982 she published her observations and research on this phenomenon in the book: "Understanding Your Life Through Color." These findings were also incorporated into the books: "The Indigo Children" and "Indigo Celebration" by Lee Carol and Jan Tober.

Indigo Aura Colour
Different aura colours represent different gifts that we possess. Indigo correlates with the third eye chakra (the energy centre just above our two eyes) which embodies our psychic gift of clairvoyance. So the ‘indigo children’ are able to have psychic experiences such as spiritual visions, a sense of knowing, and seeing spirits.
They can be very intelligent, wise and knowing. They won’t put up with anything not of integrity, so in this way they are often referred to as trail-blazing warriors and ‘system busters.’ The indigo’s role is to break down old systems which are no longer in alignment with our higher purpose. * Strong-willed, determined, independent, stubborn, impulsive
* Intelligent, insatiably curious, active minds, easily get bored.
* Know who they are
* Very creative, artistic, talented, expressive
* All about truth and integrity. Have an internal lie-detector. Can spot untruthful people from a mile away
* Oppose & question things, including authority, intolerant towards old, outdated systems & views, especially if they sense they are not in integrity or controlling / fooling the masses in some way
* Can have a temper and show aggression and frustration.
