Soul Friends
Have you ever had a friend whom you have felt an instant connection with. Perhaps you feel like you recognize them in same way, and even though you are initially strangers when you meet, it is like you have known each other for a thousand years.

There is always a deeper meaning for your connection and coming together in this lifetime.

Friends like these are most likely soul friends. In celtic tradition, this phenomenon is called 'anam cara. That is because 'anam' means 'soul' in gaelic, and 'Cara' means 'friend'.
A soul friend is someone you meet and you instantly feel a recognition or a deep connection. It is like you know each other.

An anam cara might not become a lifelong friend necessarily, but you will both play an important role in each others lives. You will not only be trusty companions that confide in each other like no other friend you have, but also on a higher level you are teachers or guides for each other. Your souls are bonded and there is a sense of intimacy, understanding and belonging between you, and you feel a calling of your soul to your spiritual origins. Like kindred spirits your souls are akin and you feel at home.
When you are together, it is easy. It is like you amalgamate. You quite literally are as your energy fields merge together harmoniously when you lean in together, sit near each other and through intimate trust and sharing, you are partaking in sacred bonding and energy is flowing between you.

In my opinion soul friends can also be people whom you meet, and form an instant connection and knowing that this is a safe person, you somehow know, love and trust them in a mere instant, or short amount of time - you don't question it.
They might not end up being a close friend, it could just be a passing moment, you might only see them once or a few times, but there is a deep,immediate knowing that you recognise eachother as souls.
Perhaps you meet on your travels, shops or at a party. It's that person you sit next to and minutes turn to hours as you converse, share, bind and laugh. Something happens on a heart and higher soul level.
These kind of connections also are most likely soul contracted, synchronised mergings. This means that they are planned, orchestrated, written in stone. The fact that there is a soul recognition shows that you have known this soul before - perhaps they are a part of your soul family, or you have known this person in a past lifetime. They come to give you a gift for the heart, to help you with healing, or prepare you for the next part of your journey.

I have certainly experienced this a number of times in my life, such as when I was living in a guest house in Tokyo, or when I went to a massive spiritual conference hosted by Hay House, when I learned how to be an 'Angel Intuitive', by Doreen Virtue. I met so many like-minded souls there, people who I resonated with, as fellow lightworkers, and there were a lot of moments of deep soul recognition. You can read about those experiences here.
After that, when I opened up my business as a psychic medium and energy healer, I can honestly tell you I've had quite a number of clients that I recognised on a soul level, and the feeling was mutual.

And it is always a beautiful feeling, another signpost that Spirit is real, synchronicities take place, the unvierse is amazing, and I am on the right track in the work that I'm diong, and what I am experiencing / interpreting. And that is a beautiful feeling.
