The doorway between one year and the next is a powerful portal and extremely potent time. Much psychic energy abounds and we are offered a higher vibration.
There is a shift of energy at Equinox, Solstice AND the new year. Regardless of the fact that we have a human made Gregorian calendar, we have evolved into a meld of time and timelessness and our human construct of time is imprinted within us, melded into the Divine blueprint. Energy is interweaved in the magic of numbers and vibration that make up the fabric of the universe.

Cruising into the New Year Vibe
Apart from when I've had a hangover, I have always loved New Year's Day, and the whole feel of January. The ideal scenario is to just rest retreat, plonk on the couch, or go experience nature or a body of water - in my pre children days I loved driving to the beach and walking, reflecting and gazing with feet nuzzling in the sand and fresh ocean waves.
Even if you are at home, enjoying the public holiday, there's a little bit of a feeling of time standing still as you feel a sense of mindfulness and gaze in reverie.

Glad for the previous year to be left behind you, you wonder what this new year has in store.
Sometimes you are clear and know exactly what to do, or the fresh vibe coming through is getting familiar, yet at other times it is still unclear.
But regardless of where you are at the eve of this journey, know that a new energy, and new / renewed you is also preparing to emerge. It truly is inspirational.

Are You Put off by 'New Year, New You' Hype?
You might not like the 'New Year, New You' type mantra, or be put off by it, which I totally get. It has in some instances become a bit of a 'hype'. Hypes are something that I avoid.
It is not for everyone, and it is all a matter of personal taste and perception and what you are drawn to. You can still intend for change and go with the flow of life, allowing it to happen and there does not need to be any pressure to make over yourself or your life. It can also depend on the stage you are at. For me personally I find it inspiring, but if I am in a pooey mood, it has the potential to be irritating.

A Natural Urge to 'Reset Your Life'New year is the perfect time to reset your life. You already are getting the inclinations to do so, and the universe is also preparing you for this new direction.
The whole idea of a reset, and pressing a reset button, is often super desirable. And the new year, or that whole period from January to March or even April, seems like the perfect time to do so. |

The process of transformation into the new, or renewed you, though sometimes can be quick, instant and marked, is more often like a meandering river. You can be drifting like a log going with the flow, or guide your canoe through the clear and mirky waters. I personally do a bit of both, but moreover I ease into the process.

Preparing for a New Vision & Vibe
There is no need to rush into the new year and its offerings - do it at a pace that is comfortable to you, and / or when you get quiet time to yourself to reflect, prepare and plan.
Take your time to prepare and merge into the new year's energy and when you are ready, jot down notes, ideas, goals and visions.
Allow yourself to dream.
Set the intention to become clear on what is right for you visualize them being in place.

- take a spiritual class or course
