The Ghost of Freddy Jackson
Now this is a ghost photo that has absolutely intrigued me the more and more I looked into it. I'm very excited to introduce to you this amazing century - old black and white photograph that has captured the heart and interest of many people across the globe.
The smudgy face that you see behind the army officer wearing the hat here (I've zoomed into the picture for you to see what I'm talking about), is said to be the ghost of Freddy Jackson, who was a soldier & airplane mechanic in WW1.
Upon researching this case, I read a factual statement that members of Jackson's squadron actually recognised his face in the photo at the time. When i read that, I got major tingles and shivers, in fact that happens each time I read it. So trusting my gut, that is my intuitive signal that it is a very true story and phenomenon.
It has also been reported that this photo has officially been checked by professionals a great deal of times, and they came to the conclusion that no photographic manipulation or anomolies were found. Having said that, it must be stated that some have suggested it could be a case of double exposure, however there was also overwhelming evidence against this theory.

His story goes like this...
Sadly, Freddy died in an absoltely horrible freak accident involving an airplane . He accidentally walked right into its moving propeller. That kind of death alone is quite bizarre, a very unusual kind of freak accident, way to go, especialy considering he was an experienced air mechanic.
The facts are that he passed away in 1919, only 2 days before an official group photo of his regiment was booked to be taken. As it turned out, Freddy's ghostly image eerily appeared in the photograph two days post mortem (I have shivers and goosebumps as I write this). You can see the full portrait image below. Looks like Freddy's spirit was hanging around. It seems he both wanted to make his presence known in a big way, and also didn't want to miss out on being a part of the group experience.

Some might say that being a very a sudden, unexpected, young and tragic death, that the deceased soul didnt know he had died, and perhaps walked around the inbteween world lost, dazed and confused. It is possible that Freddy was unaware he had actually died and simply turned up for the photo like a normal day at work.
However I personally get the feeling from Freddy the Ghost that he deeply wanted to be around his fellow comrade troops and did not want to miss out on this candid photographic moment. It is like this was his way to leave a mark, have his last debut so to speak, sending himself off with honour and pride, and stamping his legendary presence for good.

When I first saw the photo, my immediate psychic response was to cry, as it was that filled with intense emotion and authenticity. My other impressions were that he was a fun guy and really cared about his team mates and liked to joke around and play pranks. I feel like he was a bit of a thinker, a brooder, but also a clever prankster. The words I got were that this one topped them all (you can't beat this prank, old champ)!
This was his ingenious, yet entertaining way to 'reveal' himself to his squadron post death. This feels to be extremely important to him, as what I am getting is that he deeply sensed and witnessed their grief at his sad and abrupt loss, the whole shock of the accident and tragedy of his otherwise untimely demise. It also strongy feels like there is something about his photo, the feeling that he or people will come back to it, in a weird way perhaps its like his entry point, a portal between worlds and also time realities.
Side note: Just to be clear, I've heard two confilicting pieces of information about the day this photo was taken:
1) That Freddy knew in advance that this photo would be taken, and errily it was shot on the day of what ended up to be his actual funeral.
2) That the photo was actually taken for Freddy's funeral on that day.
I'm not sure which is the correct fact, feel free to research it yourself. But either way, he popped into the shot and it's very uncanny.

But the story gets more interesting. Now let's consider - why did Freddy choose to stand behind that particular Officer (the one that was wearing the hat)? And remember that I said it had a kind of time portal feeling?
As it turns out, that very officer was Sir Victor Goddard, a retired R.A.F. (Royal Airforce) officer at the time, having in his life time served as a pilot, air marshall and senior commander also in WW2. He is said to have first published this photograph in 1975. I decided, out of interest, to look up Sir Goddard's personal numerological chart. He was born on 6.th Feb,1897. These numbers add up to 33 as his Life Path, and 33 is a Master number!
What is even more fascinating, deepening this case even further, is that both years earlier as well as later, Goddard received premonitions (visions) that correctly 'predicted the future'. On top of this, he made claims to have experienced some kind of momentary 'time slip' over Drem Airfield in Scotland. Now we are talking about time travel here! It seems that Goddard flew into the future. He reported what he saw in the area, in vivid detail - a runway and buildings (that did not historically exist yet), he desribed different uniforms and modern, advanced aircraft that were not invented yet). Eerily, his exact descriptions exactly came about in the future! Fascinating, to say the least!
So what has all this got to do with Freddy? Is there a link here, between the abilities and experiences of Sir Goddard, and the appearance of Freddy the ghost? Well, perhaps Freddy time travelled himself. Perhaps there was some kind of portal or wormhole in various connected locations. Or perhaps he chose Sir Goddard as the perfect candidate, given his visions, abilities and time bending experiences, and this would further authenticate his photographic apparition as being real. Perhaps he knew somethng we all dont know...

Here is Goddard's personal, factual account of his time slip experience:
"In the winter of 1934 I was flying an airplane, it was a Hawker “Hart”—a mighty fast plane for those days! (In fact, it was in a plane of that type that, in the following year, I held the Edinburgh to London speed record.) In the cloud and fog and heavy rain I had come spiraling down 8,000 feet, out of control all the way. So I was wondering whether I should plunge into the mountains of Scotland, or into the Firth of Forth, before I got my “Hart” under control again…My Hawker “Hart” was at last under control; my personal heart was not—it was in my throat…I flew straight on, climbing slightly to clear the foreshore. I said to myself, “If I go straight on, I’ll hit off Drem Airfield. That is, if I’m going where I think I am, and going the way I think I’m going.” In a few minutes, sure enough, through the murk the old hangars of Drem loomed ahead—black in the rain and about half a mile ahead. We’re about to come to the point of this story, but first I must tell you about Drem. I had been at Drem on the ground only the day before. I knew the place and had known it for years. It was built as an aerodrome during World War I. I knew it then. After that war it was abandoned and gradually the buildings fell into ruin. The hangars were used by the farmer as cow-byres and as barns for his crops and farm machinery. The roofs were falling in; the airfield was cut up into many grazing meadows for sheep and cattle, divided off by barbed wire fences. (I had seen all that the day before). But next day as I approached Drem in foul weather after my hair-raising experience over Leith, I wanted something to re- store my confidence before I again tried to climb through those turbulent clouds. For I was due to be at Andover, in Hampshire, that morning. I was fast approaching those old derelict airplane hangars, then used for barns and cow-byres, at Drem. I climbed through the deluge of rain to the misty base of the continuous low cloud overhead. The hangars were darkly looming towards me only a quarter of a mile away. Then, suddenly, the area was bathed in an ethereal light as though the sun were shining on a mid-summer day. As I raced over the airfield boundary and along the fine of those four double hangars, I saw some surprising things. Evidently, as I saw it, the rain had recently stopped. The airfield, all unfenced, was evenly mown; no cattle or sheep were grazing. The tarmac around the hangars was wide and new, the hangars all had sound new roofs, the doors of the first hangar were open and five aircraft—all bright yellow (four of them biplanes, one a monoplane)—were lined up on the tarmac. Mechanics in blue overalls were pushing out another monoplane. The men below were not interested in me as I sped over them not more than fifty feet above the hangars and I flew out of the “sunshine” into dark rain and mist again, and into the climb which I immediately began through the clouds to clear the hidden mountains beyond. I was keyed to my flying. But I was full of wonder. I knew that I had been “seeing things.” I also knew that what I had seen was there. It was real…There was a difference in quality between the seeming reality of a dream and the felt reality of that vision. In 1938 Drem was rebuilt and reopened as a Flying Training School. What I had seen as I flew over, and described to friends, came to pass four years later in all its novel details. And then I knew that I had to sort out my ideas about free will and fate and determinism!” - (Osborn, 1961, p101-102) - Sourced from esoterx.com

And for anyone wishing to get more deeply into this case, here is an interesting, though extremely hard to understand excerpt from a speech given by Goddard in 1969, where he seems to pair paranormal and scientific / aviation knowledge with his own personal musings / conclusions:
"Given that real UFO are paraphysical, capable of reflecting light like ghosts; and given also that (according to many observers) they remain visible as they change position at ultrahigh speeds from one point to another, it follows that those that remain visible in transition do not dematerialize for that swift transition, and therefore, their mass must be of a diaphanous (very diffuse) nature, and their substance relatively etheric . . . . The observed validity of this supports the paraphysical assertion and makes the likelihood of UFO being Earth-created greater than the likelihood of their creation on another planet. . . . The astral world of illusion, which (on psychical evidence) is greatly inhabited by illusion-prone spirits, is well known for its multifarious imaginative activities and exhortations. Seemingly some of its denizens are eager to exemplify principalities and powers. Others pronounce upon morality, spirituality, Deity, etc . All of these astral exponents who invoke human consciousness may be sincere, but many of their theses may be framed to propagate some special phantasm, perhaps of an earlier incarnation, or to indulge an inveterate and continuing technological urge toward materialistic progress , or simply to astonish and disturb the gullible for the devil of it” (Keel, 1970, p39-40). - Quote sourced from eoterx.com
