As soon as a loved one passes away, they become your most recent ancestor. But you will have many more from generations before you. Your ancient forebears. Your ancestors are anyone from your bloodline on both your maternal and paternal sides, who have come and passed before you, whether in this lifetime, or in lifetimes past. |

We all have a connection to our ancestors that is more profound and more palpable than we ever imagined. The ancient wise ones knew of this wisdom, and the importance of both respecting and honoring ones forbears. Maybe you have carried on with your life and not thought much about it, but within your blood and bones, or by analyzing the patterns of your life, you will be able to see and feel it. |

How we are Affected by our Ancestors
There is a strong Spirit connection that is deep and an intrinsic part of our soul makeup. Our souls are connected through our energy matrix, and the sacred codes of the generations before us is embedded in our DNA and genetic system.
The suffering of your ancestors is lodged in your consciousness.
Your suffering is amplified, intensified and tainted if you will, by the collective remains and fragmented shadows of their tormented souls.

You might undergo a kind of ancestor cleansing or healing - this can happen subconsciously or even on a conscious level. It is something that you can activate for yourself, and it is something that comes up in my psychic reading and energy healing sessions with clients from time to time.
In order to initiate an ancestor cleansing/healing, go into meditation and feel into what needs to be cleared from your mother's line, and what needs to be cleared from your father's line. Feel into each, one at a time.
You might need to do some journaling and further reflecting.
Look for problems, patterns, connections and allow thoughts, memories and intuitions to surface.

What is the Message of Our Ancestors?

I feel like our ancestors are coming through to tell us that they are leaving soul footprints behind in the etheric halls of time, and they are not to be forgotten, much like the silently profound presence and meaning of sacred nature.
They are here to protect and guide us on our human and spiritual journey. They want us to clear the suffering of the pas that still comes into play in our lives now. |
How to Connect with Your Ancestors
We can connect with our ancestral energy by paying respect and acknowledging its presence.
For a start, it’s about your deep interest, awareness and intention.
Set a clear, meaningful intention for what you wish to accomplish.
You can light a candle to honor and connect with your sacred ancestors. Do a candle ritual of your own, create a sacred space, close your eyes, relax, take some breaths and call your benevolent ancestors into your space.
Allow them to step in feel their presence, notice anything you might hear, see, know or feel and just relax into it without pushing.
You can also ask them to offer you a gift or symbol in your meditation, ask them to come into your dreams and message you that way, or ask them to give you a sign that you can find in the next few days or weeks.
